SACRE is a cooperation project of Aktionstheater PAN.OPTIKUM and the University of Music Freiburg. The interdisciplinary dance performance SACRE consists of two parts that revolve around the themes of ritual and sacrifice. The central question is: What would we be willing to sacrifice? And what do we already sacrifice without being aware of it? The first part of the dance performance SACRE combines music by the Freiburg composer Tobias Schwab with texts by the Berlin author Viktoria Hohmann and video art by Jennifer Rohrbacher. The second part brings dance and the world-famous piece Le Sacre du printemps by Igor Stravinsky to the stage with the orchestra of the Freiburg University of Music under the direction of Scott Sandmeier.
